Expanding Foam Tape. 20mm Wide x 4.3m Coil. Expands from 5mm to 35mm in height. Weight 0.270Kg.
A pre compressed, acrylic impregnated PU foam supplied in roll form. Once released from the coil, the material expands to up to three times its original height, making it ideal for sealing applications where installation space is restricted. The product expands to fill gaps and voids, providing effective sealing and insulation performance. Expansion time is dependent on ambient temperature and humidity, with full expansion taking up to 24 hours.
When used to fill a void
During the initial phase of expansion, the product provides a waterproof seal in addition to dust, sound, and thermal insulation. Once expanded beyond this range, waterproof performance reduces, while dust, sound, and thermal insulation properties remain effective. The applicable expansion range is shown in the accompanying chart.
When used as a compression seal
Once fully expanded, the foam may be compressed. Upon removal of pressure, it will recover to its expanded size, exhibiting memory foam like behaviour.
