Stedall supplies a full range of LED lighting for commercial vehicles and vans, designed for consistent performance and long service life in demanding conditions. The range is organised into clear categories, each covering a different role on the vehicle.
The main categories are exterior lights for visibility and safety, interior lights for clear illumination of cab and load areas, marker lights for visibility and compliance, and step lights to aid safe entry and exit. The range also includes indicator lights, strip lights, panel lights, strobe lights and marker boards. To find the right product, start with the category that matches the lighting’s role, or contact Stedall on 01454 319524 or at sales@stedall.co.uk.

Yes. Stedall’s lighting range is LED-based, chosen for low current draw, long service life and reliable performance in commercial vehicle conditions. LED units draw less power than older filament lighting and stand up better to the vibration and weather a working vehicle is exposed to.
Different lights in the range are available for different vehicle electrical systems, with interior lighting offered in both 12V and 24V. Because voltage and ratings vary by product, check the specification of the individual light before ordering. -
Marker lights are the category most directly tied to legal visibility requirements, as side marker lamps and reflectors become a requirement on certain vehicles and vehicle combinations once they exceed defined lengths under the Road Vehicles Lighting Regulations 1989.
Because the requirements depend on the type, age and dimensions of the vehicle, operators should confirm what applies to their own vehicle. Stedall’s Lighting Compliance Guide for Commercial Vehicles explains the principles, and the legislation may be amended after the date referenced.

Stedall publishes a lux reading and an Ra figure for most of its lighting, rather than a lumen figure. Lux measures the intensity of light reaching a surface at a set distance, usually one metre, so it indicates how well lit an area will be in use. Lumens describe the total output of a light source but not how it performs at range, which is why lux is the more useful figure for specifying a vehicle light.
Ra, also known as CRI, is a 0 to 100 scale describing how accurately a light renders colour, with higher figures being more true to life. Around 80 Ra is the common baseline for good colour rendering in commercial lighting. The lux and Ra figures for each product are given on its data sheet.

Yes. Stedall supplies commercial vehicle bodybuilders, converters and fleet operators across the full lighting range, with a focus on better availability and technical support. Specifying lighting at the build stage, from exterior and marker lights through to interior and step lighting, produces a cleaner, more consistent installation than retrofitting.
